Moore Catholic's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They put the hurt on the McKee Vo-Tech Seagulls with a sharp 6-0 win. Considering the Mavericks have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on JUSTIN NELSON, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of CHRISTIAN COMODO, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Moore Catholic's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for McKee Vo-Tech, their loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Moore Catholic is taking a road trip to take on Archbishop Stepinac at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for McKee Vo-Tech, they will host Port Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
