The Falcon Falcons will be playing at home against The Classical Academy Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Falcon is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
On Saturday, Falcon didn't have too much trouble with Canon City at home as they won 61-45. Given Falcon's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Canon City is ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jeremiah Potts and Aiden Wood were among the main playmakers for Falcon as the former scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals and the latter scored 21 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wood has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Christian Bertholf, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, The Classical Academy came up short against Berthoud on Saturday and fell 53-46.
Falcon's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for The Classical Academy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Falcon came up short against The Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 66-54. Can Falcon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
