Providence-St. Mel's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gerald Davis, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Miller, who scored nine points.
Providence-St. Mel has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for St. Laurence, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
