Even though the Pittsfield Generals scored an imposing 64 points on Thursday, the Agawam Brownies still came out on top. Agawam skirted past Pittsfield 67-64. The win made it back-to-back wins for Agawam.
Pittsfield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Pat Brennan, who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Brennan scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makai Shepardson, who scored 15 points.
Agawam has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Pittsfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
Agawam will head out on the road to face off against Taconic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pittsfield, they will be playing at home against Wahconah Regional at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wahconah Regional knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Pittsfield likes a good challenge.
