The Carvers Bay Bears are on the road again on Friday and play against the Lamar Silver Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Carvers Bay walked away with it. They blew past Baptist Hill 62-32 on the road. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Meanwhile, Lamar waltzed into Friday's contest with six straight wins but they left with seven. Everything went their way against Branchville as Lamar made off with a 27-6 victory.
Zori Pierce went supernova for Lamar, rushing for 172 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 63 yards and a touchdown. Pierce really tore up the turf during one magnificent 88-yard run. Travion Mcphail also helped out as he racked up 138 rushing yards.
Their wins bumped Carvers Bay to 5-6 and Lamar to 8-3.
