Fans got a thrill when Ethan Hillmer and Alex Thom connected against Algoma. The longest such play in Olympian-Packerland - Small this season, the connection resulted in 59 yards.
Reedsville added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Mishicot, 26-13. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Panthers.
The Wolves' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Hunter Prokash threw for 120 and 2 touchdowns and Andrew Gorz had 80 yards receiving. On the ground Sam Koss chipped in 168 yards. Austen Dart helped Algoma's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 36 yards.
Koss provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Algoma bested Manitowoc Lutheran. Koss' key target this week was Gorz, who caught 3 passes for 80 yards.
Prokash put up the best numbers through the air as Wade Vandervest's team topped the Lancers.
Algoma's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Prokash has thrown for 614 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Gorz has 15 catches for 265 yards.
In 108 carries Koss has accumulated 999 yard this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Manitowoc Lutheran takes on Reedsville. As it stands, Dave Uhlhorn/ Jim Carolfi's team is in third, while Aaron Fredrick's team is in first.
The Wolves moved up to 85 from 113 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Olympian-Packerland - Small. Algoma was able to move up by defeating the Lancers 41-6.
