Fredonia came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Erie, but Lillee Gawel wouldn't allow it. The Red Devils came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 2-0 on Saturday with plenty of help from Gawel, who had 14 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Erie not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fredonia between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17.

Erie has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Fredonia, they dropped their record down to 4-10-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
