You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Piqua and Greenville. Everything came up roses for Piqua against Greenville on Friday as the squad secured a 42-7 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Piqua, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Piqua's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 22 first-half points. Meanwhile, Greenville couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 22-0 heading into the break. The Piqua defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 7 and all but finishing the game.
Next week Piqua take on Butler at 7:00 PM. Unlike Piqua, Butler will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Greenville, they will face off against Tippecanoe. Greenville are catching Tippecanoe at a good time: Tippecanoe have scored fewer and fewer points over their past three games.
