The Methacton Warriors won the last time they faced the Boyertown Bears, and things went their way on Thursday too. Methacton simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bears 80-44 on the road. Given Methacton's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Bears are ranked 410th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trey Kern, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braedyn Johnson, who scored 15 points.
Methacton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Boyertown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.
Methacton will head out on the road to take on the Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Emmaus will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Boyertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
