This season hasn't been kind to the Tallwood Lions, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They had to suffer through a rough 78-17 loss at the hands of Princess Anne. Tallwood has struggled against Princess Anne recently, as their match on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Laniyah Grady and Faith Gray certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Grady scored eight points, while Gray scored seven points.
Tallwood's loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Princess Anne, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tallwood will take on Grassfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Grassfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tallwood in Virginia (Grassfield is ranked 60th, while Tallwood is ranked 389th). As for Princess Anne, they will play host again and welcome Green Run, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
