Pritzker can attribute much of their success to Kalyne Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards, and Dailiany Azcona, who posted 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Rodriguez's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.
Pritzker smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 12 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Noble Street College Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hansberry on Sunday, but they still walked away with a 33-28 win.
Pritzker better focus on containing Tiffany Gaona and Sarai Gonzalez as the pair were huge in Noble Street College Prep's win. Gaona earned eight points and ten boards, while Gonzalez put up eight points and four steals. Gaona is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Heidy Flores, who had four points.
Noble Street College Prep pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins didn't necessarily come from the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.8 points per game. As for Pritzker, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Pritzker has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Noble Street College Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
