Meigs scaled the state rankings by moving to 304 from 358 this week, the biggest jump in Tri-Valley - Ohio. The Marauders were able to move up by topping Nelsonville-York 47-6.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Athens beat Wellston 62-6. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Athens' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joey Burrow threw for 253 and 3 touchdowns and Heath Wiseman had 117 yards receiving. On the ground Trae Williams chipped in 227 yards. Adam Luehrman helped Athens' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 63 yards.
He went 12-18 with 1 interception.
Williams was a beast in the backfield as Ryan Adams' team topped the Golden Rockets.
Burrow put up the best numbers in passing as the Bulldogs beat Wellston. Burrow's favorite target this week was Wiseman, who caught 4 passes for 117 yards.
Athens' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Burrow has thrown for 1,760 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Ryan Luehrman has 22 catches for 505 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Meigs takes on Vinton County. As it stands, Mike Bartum's team is in third, while the Vikings are in second.
The Marauders made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,051 from 6,060. The advance stemmed from a 47-6 victory over the Buckeyes last week.
