On Friday, The Lake Mary Prep Griffins faced the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lake Mary Prep breezed by Real Life Christian Academy at home  to the tune of  34-6. The result was nothing new for Lake Mary Prep, who have now won six games by 22  points or more  so far this season.
 Leading Lake Mary Prep to victory were  Crete Emerton and  Wade Brashears.  Emerton threw for 162 yards and four touchdowns, while  Brashears rushed for 149 yards and  a touchdown on only 13 carries. Brashears was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run  that went for 58 yards.
 Real Life Christian Academy's lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Tysen  Miller , who rushed for 113 yards, and also threw for 47 yards and  a touchdown.
 The  win was  the fifth in a row for Lake Mary Prep, bringing their record for this year to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points per game. As for Real Life Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
 Lake Mary Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Real Life Christian Academy will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Sports Leadership & Management at 7:00  p.m. Sports Leadership & Management comes in on a streak of failing to score more than zero points in their last three games, a trend the  team is of course eager to reverse.
