The Jackson-Reed Tigers will square off against the DC International Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson-Reed will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.
Jackson-Reed is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past School Without Walls 12-2. Considering the Tigers have won 21 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Owen Stone looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Jackson Loomis was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. Derick Riddick was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Jackson-Reed always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .517 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, DC International faced Georgetown Day in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Dragons never let the Mighty Hoppers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win.
Not much got past Biko Sheridan, who gave up just six hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Georgetown Day off the board.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carlos Ferman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Darron Francis-Gold, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Jackson-Reed pushed their record up to 28-4 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for DC International, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-9.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Jackson-Reed has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .524. However, it's not like DC International struggles in that department as they've averaged .459. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Jackson-Reed's way against DC International when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Jackson-Reed made off with an 8-0 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
