The Goldwater Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 33-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Luis. Goldwater was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as San Luis apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
San Luis can attribute much of their success to Fernanda Aranda, who scored 10 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Aranda has scored at least 25% of San Luis' points. Regina Meza was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Goldwater's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for San Luis, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Goldwater will head out on the road to face off against Tempe at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for San Luis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
