They really took it to O'Connell for the full four quarters, racking up a 81-8 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Legacy Prep Christian Academy, who have now won seven games by 23 points or more so far this season.
Leading Legacy Prep Christian Academy to victory were Molly Steed and Charlotte Freeman. Steed dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Freeman scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Freeman has scored at least 25% of Legacy Prep Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Ava Brieger, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Legacy Prep Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 13-8. As for O'Connell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Prep Christian Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome FBCHA at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. FBCHA will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. O'Connell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Covenant Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th.
