Burwell extended the longest winning streak in D1 District 7 (8 Man) this week by beating St. Mary's, 47-8. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Chambers/Wheeler Central led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on West Boyd.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Clearwater/Orchard takes on Burwell. The Cardinals are currently in third, while Luke Gideon's team is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Clearwater/Orchard takes on the Longhorns. Jeff Shabram's team has allowed 148 points this season, while Burwell has given up 101.
The Coyotes made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 643 from 707. The advance stemmed from a 62-6 victory over the Spartans last week.
