The Elkhorn Antlers won the last time they faced the Lincoln Northwest Falcons, and things went their way on Saturday too. Elkhorn took down Lincoln Northwest 60-41. Given Elkhorn's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Lincoln Northwest is ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Elkhorn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Petersen, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Howard, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Elkhorn's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Lincoln Northwest, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Elkhorn will head out on the road to take on Hastings at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln Northwest, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Seward.
