Football Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Ben's Ford Christian. The Warriors had to suffer through a 52-14 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The loss leaves the Warriors still looking for their first win of the season.

Heritage Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Cameron Geraci and Daniel Lincoln. Geraci gained 63 total yards and two touchdowns, while Lincoln rushed for 105 yards on only 14 carries. Lincoln's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Heritage Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Ben's Ford Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Heritage Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hebron Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Warriors will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ben's Ford Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Prairie View Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 12.3 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
