Softball Recap: South Elgin Has No Trouble Against Coffee County Central

South Elgin's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Coffee County Central Red Raiders. The high-scoring effort was just what the Storm needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Adreana Hauser was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Lazare, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

South Elgin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coffee County Central only posted an OBP of .400.

South Elgin now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Coffee County Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

South Elgin has already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Baylor on the 26th. As for Coffee County Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 win against Boonville on the 27th.
