Douglass and Oxon Hill are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Douglass Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Oxon Hill Clippers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 377 points over their last five matches.
Douglass has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 27 points or more this season. They breezed by Westlake at home to the tune of 76-49. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-19.
Emmanuel Carson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kwari Harvey, who scored 14 points along with eight assists.
Meanwhile, Oxon Hill made easy work of Potomac on Thursday and carried off a 67-41 win. Given Oxon Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Potomac is ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Douglass' win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Oxon Hill, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
