Meanwhile, Mohawk entered their tilt with Hilltop on Wednesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Cadets 10-4. Considering the Warriors have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On the hitting side, Mohawk got a massive performance out of Trenna Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ayersville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318.
