Caldwell Academy's's game  back in December of 2023 was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They came out on top against Calvary Day School by a score of  37-25. Given Caldwell Academy's advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 199th, while Calvary Day School is ranked 447th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Despite the  loss, Calvary Day School saw an underclassman step up:  Lexi Mickey  dropped  a triple-double on 11 points, 15  rebounds, and 11  steals. The  game was  Mickey's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
 Caldwell Academy now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Calvary Day School,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-8.
 Caldwell Academy will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Forsyth Country Day at 5:30  p.m. As for Calvary Day School, they will head out on the road to face off against Burlington Christian Academy at 5:15  p.m.  on Monday. Burlington Christian Academy is on  a three-game streak of home losses, Calvary Day School a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
