The Porter Cowboys lost against the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The matchup between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Porter falling 49-33. They have struggled against St. Joseph Academy recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Joseph Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jason Aguilar , who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Mikey Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six assists.
Porter has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for St. Joseph Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
Porter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Economedes at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. St. Joseph Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Vanguard Academy Beethoven at 11:30 a.m. on December 7th. Vanguard Academy Beethoven will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1534th, while St. Joseph Academy is ranked 695th).
