The McClatchy Lions will face off against the Kennedy Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McClatchy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Meanwhile, Kennedy got the win against Cordova on Thursday by a conclusive 16-6.
Kaylena Ogle made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Ogle was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Kira Griffin was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Gia Smith, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Kennedy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
McClatchy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 11-4. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
McClatchy came out on top in a nail-biter against Kennedy in their previous matchup on April 3rd, sneaking past 2-0. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
