Basketball Recap: Bridge to Independence Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bridge to Independence had won two straight games and Jye Moreno did his part to make it three on Saturday. The Bridge to Independence Wildcats snuck past the Kathleen Red Devils with an 88-82 win thanks in part to Moreno, who went 12 for 22 en route to 32 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Brock DAlessandro was another key player, dropping a triple-double on 11 points, 11 boards, and ten assists. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played.

Kathleen lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Jones, who posted 23 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Zion Williams, who put up 18 points.

Bridge to Independence has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Kathleen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Bridge to Independence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-47 victory against All Saints' Academy on the 28th. As for Kathleen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-50 loss against Sebring on the 28th.
