Caddo is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Tushka is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Caddo Bruins will take on the Tushka Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Caddo stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Kiowa with a sharp 67-44 win. Given Caddo's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Kiowa is ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Tushka strolled past Coalgate with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 38-20. Tushka pushed the score to 31-10 by the end of the third, a deficit Coalgate cut but never quite recovered from.
Tushka's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tagen Simon led the charge by scoring eight points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Simon hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Tristan Gibson, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Caddo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Tushka, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
Everything came up roses for Caddo against Tushka in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 76-40 win. Does Caddo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tushka turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
