SAN ANSELMO, Calif. -
Redwood (Larkspur, Calif.) put up 14 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 30-0 victory over Drake (San Anselmo, Calif.).
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Liam Bourke in the first quarter, the Giants were up 16-0 at the half.
Redwood entered the contest giving up 20.7 points per game this year. A defensively strong RHS kept the Pirates well below the 22.8 points it had been averaging per game.
The Larkspur school got revenge for last year's 15-10 loss to Drake with the victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Giants, who lost to Marin Catholic last week, 53-6. The loss comes after Drake defeated Terra Linda 26-8 last week.
Drake (4-2) will play a Marin County game against San Rafael next week, while Redwood (3-4) will take on Terra Linda also in a Marin County game.
