Basketball Recap: Hills Academy's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Hills Academy came tearing into Monday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Covington Academy Bulldogs with a sharp 68-47 win. With the Knights ahead 44-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Hills Academy found their leader in sophomore Kendall Booker, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Campbell, who put up 11 points.

Hills Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points per game. As for Covington Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hills Academy will face off against Arlington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hills Academy is facing Arlington Christian at the right time seeing as Arlington Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Covington Academy, they and HALO will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
