While Donna didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-29), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Redskins in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won five in a row.

Audrey Jones paced Donna's offense, picking up five kills. Jones got some help from Olivia Ramirez and her eight assists. Jones also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Naissa Ramirez, racking up two apiece.

Donna's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Donna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against IDEA Edinburg College Prep on the 23rd. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Pioneer on the 26th.
