Meanwhile, Glenwood put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Lincoln get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Titans have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alyvia Streb tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Glenwood got a massive performance out of Ava Bobb, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Hope Gilmore also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Glenwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Glenwood pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Anthony hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Glenwood struggles in that department as they've averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
