If the Barnesville Trojans were riding high off their 64-44 takedown of the East Grand Forks Green Wave on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Barnesville fell just short of Breckenridge by a score of 70-68. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (64), Barnesville still had to take the loss.
Breckenridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sydni Roberts led the charge by scoring 18 points. Parker Yaggie was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Barnesville's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Breckenridge, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Barnesville will square off against Kindred at TBD on Friday. Breckenridge is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Pelican Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Pelican Rapids will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
