The North Miami Warriors lost against the Caston Comets back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. North Miami took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Caston. While losing is never fun, North Miami can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Caston is ranked 84th).
Despite the loss, North Miami still got an impressive performance from Kaiden Hanley, who scored 28 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Hanley's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for four games straight. Laney Musall was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Caston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabel Scales, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Scales is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Douglass, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
North Miami's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Caston, their victory bumped their record up to 18-1.
North Miami will head out on the road to face off against Wabash at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Wabash is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Caston, they will be playing at home against Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carroll is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.6 points per game.
