On Friday, Brewer was able to grind out a solid win over Wylie East, taking the game 56-46. Given Brewer's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Wylie East is ranked 500th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Julian Perez, who scored 30 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Brewer's points. Tre King was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Brewer and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Wylie East, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Brewer will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against DeSoto at 12:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Wylie East, they will take on Garland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
