After a string of three wins, the Chino Cowboys's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They received a tough blow as they fell 67-48 to JW North.
Despite the loss, Chino still got an impressive performance from Shawn Jamison Jr, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 50% of Chino's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Christian Gibson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Chino's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-13. As for JW North, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.
Chino won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Baldwin Park at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Baldwin Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1372nd, while Chino is ranked 618th). As for JW North, they will head out on the road to face off against Rancho Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
