Pioneer Valley was led to victory by Inderveer Toor and Elias Giddings. Toor scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds, while Giddings scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Giddings has scored at least 25% of Pioneer Valley's points. Thomas Zepeda was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Despite the loss, Morro Bay had strong showings from Justin Campbell, who scored 17 points, and Jake Falat, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Falat scored a full 28.9% of Morro Bay's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sergio Mendoza, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals.
The win got Pioneer Valley back to even at 3-3. As for Morro Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Pioneer Valley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against River City at 5:30 p.m. on December 1st. River City is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Morro Bay, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cabrillo at 10:00 a.m. on December 1st.
