The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 64-39 margin over Gilbert. The win was just what Orangeburg-Wilkinson needed coming off of a 62-28 defeat in their prior matchup.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson found their leader in underclassman Joliyah Robinson, who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Malayshia Bradley was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Gilbert, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orangeburg-Wilkinson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Brookland-Cayce at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Brookland-Cayce is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Gilbert, they will head out on the road to square off against Swansea at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
