Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Silver Oak Academy should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They are leaving MD behind and heading out of state to face off against Caravel at 7:00 PM. Neither Silver Oak Academy nor Caravel could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
Silver Oak Academy took a serious blow against Fort Hill last Friday, falling 0-57.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their contest two weeks ago against Archmere Academy, Caravel were happy to find some success last Friday. Caravel were gifted an easy win as Capital Prep/Achievement First wound up forfeiting 0-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for Caravel as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Caravel's victory lifted them to 1-5 while Silver Oak Academy's defeat dropped them down to 1-8. Two forfeits in a row aren't very likely, so Caravel better be ready for a battle.
