The Minuteman Regional Minuteman's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Academy of Notre Dame Lancers at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Minuteman Regional will be strutting in after a victory while the Lancers will be coming in after a loss.
It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Minuteman Regional ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 56-47 win over Notre Dame Cristo Rey.
Meanwhile, Academy of Notre Dame was beaten by the Knights 82-47 on Friday. Academy of Notre Dame was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-24.
Minuteman Regional's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Academy of Notre Dame, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
Minuteman Regional didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Lancers when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Minuteman Regional since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
