After losing to The Cary Imps the last time they met, the Apex Friendship Patriots decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Apex Friendship breezed by Cary on the road to the tune of 37-6. Given Apex Friendship's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Cary is ranked 277th), the result on Friday wasn't exactly an upset.
Apex Friendship has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Cary, their defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apex Friendship will take on Middle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Middle Creek is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Cary, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Panther Creek at 7:00 p.m.
