With a playoff game on the line, the Sedro-Woolley Cubs rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Red Wolves by a score of 41-34. This was a revenge contest for Sedro-Woolley, as the team was forced to settle for a 56-52 loss when these two played last Saturday.
Cedarcrest's loss came despite strong showings from Laine Mckenzie and Kiki Anderson. Mckenzie scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Anderson scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and two steals.
Sedro-Woolley's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Cedarcrest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
Sedro-Woolley will square off against Lynden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lynden will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Sedro-Woolley surely won't give up without a fight. Cedarcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
