Christian School of York will head out on the road to square off against the Lancaster Mennonite Blazers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Christian School of York has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Christian School of York came out on top against West Shore Christian Academy on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. Christian School of York skirted past West Shore Christian Academy 7-6. Christian School of York hasn't had any issues with West Shore Christian Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Maverick Browand made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Browand was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Chase Wentz was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Martin, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Lancaster Mennonite had just enough and edged out High Point Baptist Academy 8-7 on Thursday.
Like Christian School of York, Lancaster Mennonite also got a great game from a two-way player: Landon Nyveldt. On the mound, he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nyveldt was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brady Kinney, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Lancaster Mennonite's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-11 when he doesn't).
Christian School of York's record is now 10-4. As for Lancaster Mennonite, their record now sits at 5-11.
