The Laughlin Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Needles, falling 83-44. Laughlin lost against Needles in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-40 score last time.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anthony Santilli, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Brett Schnitzler, who scored 10 points.
Laughlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Needles, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laughlin will take on Awaken Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Needles, they will be playing at home against White Pine at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
