The Galeton Tigers were the 78-67 winner over the Port Allegany Gators when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Galeton was the victim of a tough 63-41 loss at the hands of Port Allegany on Friday. Galeton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Galeton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zach Pagano, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Pagano is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of John Martin, who scored five points along with 15 rebounds.
Galeton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-12. As for Port Allegany, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Galeton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-58 victory vs. Williamson on the 10th. Port Allegany will head out on the road to face off against Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Allegany is facing Austin at the right time seeing as Austin is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
