Rittman hasn't had much luck against Hillsdale recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Rittman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Rittman's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Lincoln West with a sharp 16-0 victory. While the Indians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Christian DuBiel was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Rittman is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 4-5 otherwise. DuBiel was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Joey Schimpf was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Caleb Smith, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Rittman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Hillsdale fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Ontario on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 10-9. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Aiden Hoffman was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
The win made it two in a row for Rittman and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Hillsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Rittman suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Hillsdale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
