The Lincoln Northwest Falcons had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Schuyler with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 64-46. Lincoln Northwest's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alan Morales, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Morales set a new season high mark in rebounds with seven. The team also got some help courtesy of Rico Rodriguez, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Lincoln Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Schuyler, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln Northwest will face off against Roncalli Catholic on Tuesday. Roncalli Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lincoln Northwest in Nebraska (Roncalli Catholic is ranked 42nd, while Lincoln Northwest is ranked 177th). As for Schuyler, they will head out on the road to face off against Shelby-Rising City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
