Jeovanna Carter posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 19 over eight innings pitched. She was dominant the last time she took on Weeki Wachee back in March, so they probably should've seen this coming. Carter has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Coming up, Carter and Gulf will challenge Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
