Westlake is 5-0 against Chopticon since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Westlake Wolverines' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Chopticon Braves at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Westlake pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of McDonough.
Despite their loss, Westlake saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jagan Thomas, who scored eight points along with five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Ethan Relf, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Chopticon unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak last Wednesday. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of McDonough.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Chopticon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Westlake have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Chopticon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.7 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Westlake was able to grind out a solid win over Chopticon when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 62-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westlake since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
