Union is 1-9 against Turkeyfoot Valley Area since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Turkeyfoot Valley Area has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 25 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Zack Ryan, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Younkin, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Union's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Union have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Turkeyfoot Valley Area struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.6 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
