Daviess County fell to John Hardin 26-28 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Daviess County narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past John Hardin 20-18. The success represented a nice turnaround for Daviess County, who in their last game suffered a tough 13-49 loss.
Daviess County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but senior Marquel Tinsley led the charge as he caught passes for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Landon Newman, who racked up 9 tackles. The game pushed John Hardin down to 1-2 and pulled Daviess County up to the reverse 2-1.
Next week, Daviess County take on Hancock County at 7:00 PM. John Hardin are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Iroquois next week at 7:00 PM.
